the clipboard is an operator — paste-special multiplies, it doesn’t just move.
Paste Special fixes data that arrived in the wrong shape. The fee feed came in sideways and left-aligned — its Q labels say where each figure belongs. Two revenue lines landed in the wrong units and dragged the Subtotal with them; the labelled yellow helpers are inputs, there to fix exactly that. Costs came in positive, and a cost is an outflow. The Subtotal arrived undressed while the Total wears the house look. And the deck row takes values only, boxed — a hand-off must never move with the model.
