Work the filtered view

a filter hides rows from your eyes, not from your formulas — the total under the list never moved.
The coverage pipeline came across as one long list and the VP wants two screens off it before the call: how big the largest mandate in one sector is, and where the deals at one status stand. Arm the filter, work one screen at a time, and put the three figures in the screen block underneath. The Total line under the list counts every deal on the page, whatever the view is showing.
